Nezbytné čajové nádobí

To prepare a cup of Kagoshima Matcha Sae Sakamoto that truly captures its distinctive flavor and aroma, it's important to use the right utensils. Here's a closer look at each one:

  • Matcha Bowl: The matcha bowl, or "chawan," should be wide and shallow with plenty of space to whisk the matcha powder and water into a frothy, creamy texture. The ideal matcha bowl is made of ceramic or porcelain to help retain heat.
  • Bamboo Whisk: The bamboo whisk, or "chasen," is an essential tool for achieving the perfect texture in your matcha. The fine tines of the whisk help to create a delicate and frothy texture, giving the tea its characteristic velvety mouthfeel.
  • Chashaku: The chashaku, or bamboo scoop, is used to measure out the perfect amount of matcha powder for each cup. It's important to use the correct amount of matcha to ensure that you get the full flavor and depth of the tea.
  • Sifter: A small sieve or "furui" is used to sift the matcha powder before whisking it with water. This helps to remove any lumps or clumps, creating a smooth and even texture.

Informace o farmě

The Kagoshima Matcha Sae Sakamoto is produced by Mr. Sakamoto, the legendary Organic green tea farmer in Southern Japan. Mr. Sakamoto has been working in the tea industry for decades, and during that time he has discovered a sustainable way to make super flavorful gyokuro and matcha tea without using pesticides or chemicals.

Every time we meet Mr. Sakamoto, we are consistently impressed by his unwavering dedication to his tea field. Rather than taking shortcuts, he has invested time in developing his own organic fertilizer, using a blend of natural compounds, including organic compost and a sedimentary rock mulch.

By utilizing his own fertilizer, Mr. Sakamoto provides essential nutrients to his tea plants' soil, resulting in the production of robust and healthy tea leaves while simultaneously preserving the natural ecosystem. While Mr. Sakamoto is most well-known for the production of gyokuro tea, he can use these long shaded tea plants to produce a delicious matcha as well.
