At Nio Teas, every matcha is graded Latte, Entry, Premium or Superior. Latte Grade is made to stay delicious through milk, ice and other ingredients: typically second- or third-harvest leaf, shaded before harvest and carefully selected. It is smooth, balanced and slightly bold, with low bitterness and astringency. We recommend it for lattes, iced drinks and smoothies only, not for whisking with water on its own.
The Premium Matcha Latte Powder sits in Latte Grade because it is made for milk. The Yabukita cultivarâs strong vegetal flavour shines through the milk, bringing a robust grassy taste with delicate floral hints, subtle astringency and a soft steamed-vegetable note.
Cultivar: YabukitaTea variety
This premium matcha latte powder is made from the Yabukita cultivar, by far the most common variety of tea plant for making matcha latte powder.
The reason the yabukita cultivar has become so popular is because it has this strong vegetable flavor profile that a lot of tea drinkers look for in a green tea. While you may want a smoother matcha like Okumidori when you are drinking matcha plain, Yabukita is perfect for making matcha latte powder. The strong flavors of the matcha shine through the additional milk, so you get a smooth and sweet drink that still has plenty of matcha flavor.

Tea Artisan: MasudaăăShizuoka
The matcha latte powder is meticulously crafted by Mr. Masuda, an accomplished tea farmer based in Shizuoka, Japan. Mr. Masuda manages a large tea field and he graciously shared with us his in-depth knowledge of the entire tea production process, from cultivation to packaging.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to learn about the various grades of matcha tea that Mr. Masuda produces on his tea field. He uses the prized first harvest of tea leaves to create ceremonial grade matcha, which is smooth and delicate enough to be enjoyed on its own.Â
For the matcha latte powder, he carefully selects later harvests of tea leaves that are perfect for creating a rich and flavorful latte experience. Even though matcha lattes can be made with slightly lower grade powder, itâs still important to get them from a good, pesticide-free source!
Origin: ShizuokaJapan
This premium matcha latte powder is grown in the pristine region of Makinohara, located in Shizuoka, Japan. Shizuoka is the largest tea producing region in Japan, blessed with fertile soils and a mountainous climate that creates the perfect conditions for cultivating high-quality tea. The matcha latte powder crafted from this esteemed region is a true reflection of its superior taste and aroma, giving you an unparalleled matcha latte experience with every sip.

Farmer: Masudaăă

Why Organic Matcha Fields Make a Difference
Tea plants absorb everything from the soil, making pesticide-free farming especially important. The farmers we work with have found a way to grow delicious tea without harming the natural ecosystem.
Nio teas has been my favourite place to purchase good quality teas for a while now, and still they never disappoint me. Their teas are excellent quality, however, Iâd like to give more attention to customer service - Nio team has been very kind and helpful each time I had any sort of problem. Their customer service never disappoints, they are very attentive and quick in responding to any queries, hence why Iâve been a loyal customer for a while now.

Delivery in 4â12 Business Days Due to High Demand
We ship from warehouses in the US, the EU and Japan â whichever is closest to you. US and EU orders arrive in 4â12 business days; the handful of countries served from Japan take around 10. Business days count from dispatch rather than from when you order, and exclude weekends and public holidays. You'll get a tracking number by email the moment your parcel leaves the warehouse.
We only buy from fields grown without pesticides or chemicals. We ask each farmer directly how they manage their land, visit the plantation and processing facility ourselves, taste every harvest before committing, and check that the biodiversity around the fields is alive. Small family farms don't always carry paperwork â so we verify it in person instead.
Japanese green tea covers an enormous range, and choosing online isn't easy. If you've tried yours and it isn't for you, email info@nioteas.com within 30 days with your order number and a line on what you didn't enjoy. We'll send a different tea of equal or lower value, free. Nothing to post back â keep it, share it, or try brewing it cooler. Once per order.
Email info@nioteas.com within 30 days with your order number and a photo. We'll approve it, cover the return postage with a prepaid label or a reimbursement, and refund you â no restocking fee. Refunds go to your original payment method within 2 business days of the return reaching us; your bank may take another 5â20 to show it.
Unopened items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days. Tea is sealed for hygiene, so opened packs can't come back â but the swap above covers exactly that situation. Return postage is yours unless the item arrived damaged, defective or incorrect.
Orders to the US and EU ship domestically from our local warehouse, so there's no customs charge and no duty. A small number of destinations are served from our Japan warehouse, where your own customs authority may apply import duty, VAT or a carrier handling fee on delivery. Those are set by your country, not by us. Ask before you order and we'll help you check.

It taste bitter. You can tell the color has faded compare to matcha sar from sakamoto tea. So, I wouldn't recommend it. However, I bought two bags and I am sad that I should have bought the Sakamoto Tea brand
This was the first of many re-purchases I plan on making for the sake of easy, delicious matcha lattes! This product has pretty much replaced coffee as my everyday drink in the morning. I canât hype it up enough.
It's gotta be an iced latte for me! Nio Latte Matcha has become my everyday go-to. I obviously save a ton of money making matcha myself rather than buying it, and it's really great to have it delivered right to my door. The price is reasonable and the quality is great. My personalization of the matcha latta consists of grass-fed milk (from happy cows who get to enjoy grass and sunshine), a splash of heavy cream - also from joyously frolicking bovine - lots of ice, and an organic mint & ginseng tea bag dropped in. It's amazing! I highly recommend Nio Latte Matcha.
Love it! It arrived to Spain really fast, in like three days. I made it following the quantities recommended in the packaging and itâs perfect. Iâll be buying again
The taste is somewhat more bitter than ceremonial matcha, and the "grassy" aftertaste remains. It also feels grainier on the palate. However, I still find it good to put in matcha latte and to use in place of ceremonial matcha latte, especially given the scarcity of the product. I also think it's great that this matcha is done following the same process as for the cerimonial one, and that is without pesticide. I'll definitely buy this again:)
My new favorite matcha for lattes! I love brewing pure tea and tasting the complexity of the tea itself, but I am not a hater of lattes and milk teas and other mixed tea drinks as a treat when I can still taste the tea and the other flavors as complements.
I have found many uses for it due to its vibrance, versatility, and balanced flavor!
I am blessed to have many specialty cafes owned by Japanese tea brewers who are passionate about making good matcha near my home so they are always creating new seasonal recipes. I love trying to recreate their drinks at home.
This is the best Iâve tried so far for pairing with flavors without hiding the lovely flavors of this tea. And also bonus is the price for the quantity and quality. Certainly way better than what you can find at your asian grocery store.
I have done korean honey yuzu (citron) concentrate diluted with sparkling water with prepared matcha on top. AMAZING!
I have tried a normal matcha latte mixed with jasmine extract. Beautiful change to your typical jasmine green tea.
Muddled up lychees and blueberry thrown into some matcha latte.
Strawberry syrup, soy milk, and matcha.
The only thing that didnât work well was evaporated milk and matcha (I ran out of normal milk). Textures do not do well. But not the fault of this matcha!
Endless experiments, all satisfying.
The picture shown is of this matcha mixed with milk and no sugar still very vibrant in comparison to the greenery in the surroundings during my afternoon walk. Still a delight without any other flavors.
Thank you!! I have also purchased ceremony grade Kagoshima Matcha Sae Sakamoto that I have yet to prepare to experience on its own and looking very much forward to it if the latte matcha is this amazing.
Blessings! This was actually my First time buying matcha powder and learning to make it for myself at home, let me tell you I am thoroughly satisfied with the overall quality of this product. It tastes so similar to the matcha I order from my favorite local cafe thatâs $6.95 a day. And ofc when you love something you donât even think about the cost but Nio Teas has opened my eyes to a more affordable and fun option for me when I want to save a little and make some for guests or just whip up some matcha at home whenever. What a treat and I canât wait to order more! đ

A great balance between matcha and oat milk! Smells great after adding hot water. This powder works so well as a latte with oatmilk, there is slight astringency but it is not bitter at all. Good thing about using Premium Matcha for latte is that you can use recipes with higher matcha content at a more affordable price! Highly recommend!
I prefer matcha alone, but made a latte this morning.
Flavor is good. I'm curious how it tastes just as a matcha. Will have to try that way.
I think for its purpose, it's good. Just not my cup of tea (haha).

This matcha is SO flavorful! Absolutely perfect, look at this stunning color! If anything, this matcha has such a strong flavor (in a good way- it is plesant and warm tasting, not a sharp or fake taste), that I put too much in my strawberry matcha milk boba. It is just perfect for a latte type drink.
Matcha is great. It has a fruity aftertaste. The green color is not expressed but still nice, which is stated in the product description, as well as its other characteristics. Very good value for money.
I like it â€ïž
I found this product out of a desire to stop spending money on matcha lattes at chain coffee shops and to ensure I was getting something high quality that maintained the most health benefits. I have tried many matcha powders and this is hands-down superior to them all. Love!
My son, who is a tea connoisseur and only uses the highest quality teas for his health and enjoyment, turned me on to Neo Teas. Great product and great prices
This Matcha is perfect for making a delicious latte or fancy bubble tea. The flavour profile is nice and strong enough to mix well with dairy products and dairy alternatives.
Also great for baking sweets.
I made a tapioca coconut pudding and used some matcha to give it a nice green colour.
If youâre new to Matcha and want to try new delicious drinks, I recommend this Matcha as itâs perfect for mixing and creating cold and hot drinks, as well as baking.
Been using this Latte Powder in my baking recently and am loving it. The flavour balance is just perfect with the right amount of bitterness and richness. Really so good for adding Matcha flavour to any baking!
